And so it continues

Though Audrey and Elise both seem to be feeling at least a little bit better, Lydia is feeling horrible. It is unbelievable how congested she gets...it sounds like an old man's snore while she's breathing. Unfortunately, we had to skip the massage class again this week. I called Susan this morning, and she said she'd teach me what we missed at our next PT visit. Please help us pray for continued healing. :)

Mandy- From what I know/think I know, Lydia is probably taking in more air when she bottle feeds than some babies and may be why we see her fuss more while taking her bottle, than after. The medicine may be doing it's job to reduce acid production, but she may still be getting air on her stomach thus causing her to fuss. You know I really like her taking her pacifier to help with suck strength, but she could be getting air with that too. So, use it to calm her but if she is not real interested, let's not use it right before meals. The other thing I found in looking through notes from feeding classes is- milk should come out of the nipple at a rate of 1 drop/second. If it is a lot slower than that, we may need to revisit nipple options. Let me know what you think- you can call or email. Teresa
